"Rustic Bedroom"

I wanted to further my knowledge in Maya's tools. I modeled based off a reference given to me. I textured to resemble a painterly style that I felt fit the lived in bedroom. This whole process was incredibly fun and rewarding. It made me find a love and appreciation for the tech side of animation. Created within a 10 week period.

Modeled in Maya. Textured in Substance Painter. Lighting in Maya. Rendered in Arnold.

"TUKUY" CFX Shot

This is in a short film I was a part of, "TUKUY." I was very eager to learn Houdini and the CFX process. I was working closely with the CFX lead on our film to get the desired product in a short time with a new program. I asked lots of questions, troubleshooted a lot, but was very grateful to learn and help my team.

"Egg Fried Riot" Egg Falling Shots

This is my first collaborative film. I assisted with lighting these specific shots in the film, and these were my first hands on experience with lighting in Maya.

Created using Maya.

"Bad Aim"

It's always been a dream of mine to do some form of physical medium with animation, so of course, I did a stop motion animation. This was a big challenge, but it was equally rewarding. I had to switch my brain from thinking of pose-to-pose animation to straight ahead animation. The puppet is made out of silicone with wire armature inside. The heads are made out of plastic. The trees are made out of cardboard and painted. The ground is made out of faux grass and hot glued on cardboard leaves. Created all elements within a 10 week period.

"2D Walk"

I wanted to try out my 2D animation skills with a simple walk across the screen. This made me more in tune with all the elements of a walk cycle, especially with drawing everything.

"2D Run Cycle"

After the walk cycle, I wanted animate a run cycle. I personally love animating runs and action shots more than anything, so I was excited to exercise another medium in animation with this action.

"Lift and Drop"

I wanted to focus on weight heavily with an inanimate object. Through a 2D space I wanted to study how gravity would effect a sack attached to a rope, and how it would react if the rope broke.
